POINTERS FOR DATA RECOVERY .:
- When ever you find that some important files from your hard disk is missing stop use your system until the data has been recovered. The reason for this is, when a file is deleted from your computer the file never completely removed. It will be there in your hard disk but is not accessible. But the space where the file was will be marked as free space and would be open for writing new data. So if you would like to recover those files, the safest bet is to not do any work with your computer until you have recovered those files.
- Never install the data recovery software to the same hard disk from which you want to recover files. If you have only one hard disk installed on your computer, NTFS Undelete offers a CD image which can be burnt to a CD and you can run the software from that, but i would recommend removing the hard disk and doing the data recovery on another computer.
